Our friends at Motive were tasked with helping Lays distribute a MASSIVE amount of samples to consumers in the “Chips and Sips Quarter” of New Orleans over 3 days leading up to Super Bowl LIX.

Solution

The team at Motive realized they had to move quickly through the crowded streets of New Orleans, so they dreamed up the Lays Trikes. Bright, branded, three-wheeled vehicles with over-sized chip bags on top as beacons above the crowds. 3 trikes each for 3 products in full color glory all the way down to the seats and tires!

Results

Let’s look at the numbers:
100,000 bags of chips in 3 days by 9 brand ambassadors. That’s 33,333 bags per day.
Divided by 9 brand ambassadors = 3,704 bags per day, per person.
Divided by 8 hours per day = 463 bags per hour, per person. That’s a lot of chips!
