To help shape the artistic heart of the space, library leaders and the Regional Arts and Cultural Council (RACC) partnered with Portland-based artist Melanie Stevens, who was commissioned to create a woodwork installation honoring Black Afrofuturist literary icons that needed to be translated into dimensional form—and that’s where we came in.

In this project feature, UK-based studio Denton-Cardew Design credits Figure Plant for the full build and installation of Nike’s Girl Effect workshop environment. It’s a strong example of how international creative teams and global brands partner with FP to bring highly customized spaces to life.

Portland Monthly featured Figure Plant as the fabrication studio trusted to estimate restoration work on the city’s iconic Paul Bunyan statue — and gave a nod to FP’s 22-foot Project Pabst unicorn build. It’s a great example of how brands, agencies, and public partners rely on us for ambitious, technically complex work.
