The Figure Plant Process

We solve a diverse array of design/fabrication challenges through our extensive in-house capabilities coupled with a deep network of specialty suppliers, sub-contractors and partners. Every project is approached with a beginner's mindset: curious and open-minded, and always thinking outside of the box.

1

Ideate

It can begin with a sketch, a rendering, full plan set, or even just a conversation. No matter in what form your creative idea lives, we jump in quickly to put meat on the bones. Feasibility, material possibilities, fabrication approach, and cost estimations. From the very first phone call or email exchange, the team at Figure Plant starts adding value to your project.

We’ll figure it out so you don’t have to and almost certainly offer possibilities you might not have considered.

2

Solve

Where the conceptual begins to move to the tangible. In this phase of our work, we start drawing, calculating, sampling and designing. It’s how we get on the same page with you about what we are building, with what materials, and what methods. Before any wood is cut or metal is welded, we make sure expectations are in alignment and we can all visualize the end without actually seeing it.

3

Materialize

Now the “Plant” really gets humming. Materials are purchased, the tools start running, and we start to move from 2D to 3D. This is the “aha” moment when all the conceptual work begins to take shape. Shop visits, process photos, and sometimes video tours keep you in the know and up to date with how your project is coming along and allow for adjustments as needed. Then comes completion, delivery, and installation.

4

Evolve

For us, it’s all about relationships. We're in it for the long haul. For 25 years, long-term relationships have always outweighed short-term gains. The better we understand you and your needs, and understand how you work, the better the process is for everyone.
