Originally designed and built in 2008, the Vancouver Land Bridge and its various “Overlooks” were in need of some repairs, updates, and improvements. The nameplates were aging and difficult to read in their original configuration. Additionally, Confluence was working with Pacific Northwest Native American artist Lillian Pitt to add carved columnar basalt art pieces.
Solution
Figure Plant was engaged to design, fabricate and install new nameplates that appear more prominently in the Village Overlook and also to work with the artist on the integration of her beautiful basalt carvings.
Results
A rare opportunity to contribute to a striking addition and improvement to this historically significant landmark.
