Five-foot tall custom fabricated giant LEGO minifigure outdoors at the F1 Las Vegas GP installation — high-fidelity replica painted in classic LEGO colors.
Challenge

Our friends at XD Agency needed a 5 foot tall, quality replica of the new Formula 1 Lego Minifigure for an installation at the race in Las Vegas. And appropriate for F1, they needed it FAST! Roughly 8 days start to finish and built to Lego’s high standards for durability, precision, and high fidelity.

Solution

A combination of assembled, CNC routed wood components, 3D printed parts, heat-bent acrylic, and expert fabrication and finishing made this aggressive timeline possible. Five 3D printers and the CNC router pumped out parts while the expertise of the Figure Plant team engineered, assembled, prepped and painted in record-breaking time.

Results

A hyper accurate, perfectly appointed Minifig at a massive scale that rounded out the Lego environment with a photo opportunity, not to be missed. Certain to make an indelible impression on any young Lego fan lucky enough to see it, literally eye-to-eye.
