Hello and Happy 'Ocho' from the folks at figureplant!

We are a design & fabrication resource for advertising, industrial+interior design and architecture-
We build objects and spaces for designers, photographers, ad agencies, event planners, film makers and private clients nationwide, oftentimes bridging the gaps between these worlds.
2007 was all about changing scale .. from tiny models to massive installations it was an exciting year and this issue of our newsletter aims to show off three of the interesting projects we helped bring to life - starting with......

A beautiful gated community... that could fit in your living room

Ogilvy Worldwide has produced an innovative promotional website for "Buzz Mega Quiz", a soon to be released title for the PS2 game system.

Seeking a fresh look and feel for the homepage they turned to Figuerplant to provide traditional 'trainset style' models and landscaping to be photographed and used as assets for the website.

SF 'photorobotic' outfit One Man Crime Wave shot the project in still and motion controlled sequences to provide animation used in the navigation of the site, as well as the awesome intro movie. (link below)

'inner calm' ... On STEROIDS!

Attack Marketing hired Figureplant to create a massive, temporary zen rock garden in the middle of Union Square in downtown San Francisco.

Advertising Weston Hotels as a peaceful retreat- this PR stunt drew wide attention and was the largest installation in the history of the square--

Measuring 30 x 90 feet , and weighing in at close to 25 tons, the project was installed in 10 hours, lasted for 72, loaded out in 6 requiring a coordinated effort with city officials, engineers, SFPD, SF fire department, Park Rangers and MUNI

and finally it's a.... (haw, haw)

Feeting Frenzy

SF agency Duncan Channon single handedly revived Birkenstock’s image through a simple campaign aimed at their target audience - your feet. Miniature ‘foot fitness’ props were our contribution to the effort shot by photographer Robert Schlatter . The campaign was recently profiled in Adweek, in an article titled, "How they got their buzz back".

(sculpted acrylic cucumber slices, laser cut acrylic 'weights' and heat embossed foam yoga mat)
